Arsenal 3-1 Hamburger SV

UEFAWow… very impressive comeback, Gunners. You never fail to put on a show, and that’s why I love you: Win, Lose or Draw.

Beautiful goals from van Persie, Baptista and particularly Eboue, who simply muscled his way up the right side of the P-box and hammered one past the keeper to put us ahead for good. Well done, Gunners! We’re top of the group now, with (I believe) only one more point needed to button things up.

Arsenal 3-0 Liverpool

LiverpoolIt seemed like it might be a shaky start, but then Arsenal pulled it together for an impressive 3-0 roll over Liverpool to complete a nice Merseyside double. That Flamini goal looked more like he rolled into the ball and knocked in, but that didn’t stop him from celebrating enough to get himself a yellow card. Well done, Gunners! This brings us up to #3 in the Prem, but still an agonizing 10 points behind Man U. There’s hope yet.

Carling Cup: Everton 0-1 Arsenal

Everton FCThanks to Adebayor’s header at 85′, Arsenal have taken the latest match against Everton. I really wish this had been the result when they met Everton last in the Prem. Oh, well… next time. Nice work tonight, Gunners! Are we back on track now?

West Ham United 1-0 Arsenal

West Ham This one hurt. Not sure how else to put it. It was a good enough game, but things just didn’t seem to go our way. There’s some speculation that we lost out on a PK from a foul on Flamini. Eh, whatever… who wants to win or tie only because of a PK? Well, I guess that would have been better than a loss, but… We should have beaten the Hammers outright with no question of who were the dominant team on the pitch, but instead… they sneaked one out on us and we remain in 5th. Bleh…

And, I have to say, I’m a little disappointed with Arséne. Who knows what was said down there, but all accounts have it that Alan Pardew was simply celebrating his side’s late goal, albeit a bit over zealously. If that’s all, then Coach Wenger should have shown a little more restraint. Throw a few choice comments at the guy, but don’t lose control like that. Besides, if Pardew’s still got his job next year, it will probably be down a league.

Hey Hammers Fans: What’s up with throwing a tire iron at my man Robin? Bad form.

Arsenal 0-0 CSKA Moscow

UEFAI’m not too happy with seeing the boys walk away with only one point from that match, but it’s better than none. From all accounts, they played them hard the whole game, but just couldn’t get the ball in the net. There’s still hope that we’ll qualify from Group G… fingers crossed.
