Arsenal 3-1 Fulham

FulhamAfter the first 10 minutes of the match, I was expecting a 5-0 drubbing. But then we kept missing opportunities, mostly due to some impressive keeping from Antti Niemi, and Fulham just kept hanging in there. When they equalized at 78′, I started getting worried. But all for naught. The Gunners got it together and put the Craven Cottage fellows away with two late goals from Adebayor and a PK put in by Gilberto after a foul on Hleb.

Speaking of which… you have to love Alexander Hleb. The guy is just everywhere. He seems to have a great ability to get the ball up the side and across, creating opportunities. And he does it tirelessly. Looking forward to seeing more from him.

Amazing Freestyler

I’ve seen some pretty impressive freestylers before, but this guy might be the best I’ve seen ever. I wonder if he can translate this onto the pitch?

Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal

Tottenham HotspurI guess we all thought we were taking 3 away from White Hart Lane. And then they go and pull one out of their asses at the last second. Oh well… we’ve done it enough to others, I guess it was only a matter of time before it happened to us. At least we kept a point. Coming away from the Spurs with nothing would have been awful.

Also… who isn’t absolutely ecstatic about how Cesc Fabregas is shaping up these days. After a nice summer rest, 2007-08 could be one hell of a year for him. Not that he won’t have company. There’s more than a few players who look like they’re about to turn the corner from good to great. Looking very much forward to watching that.

Arsenal 3-1 Manchester City

Manchester CityMan City’s been on a pretty respectable tear lately, but that came to a screeching halt today at the Emirates. One each from Tomas, Cesc & Beast and we’re back in the race for third place in the Prem. Nice work, Gunners.

Arsenal 2-1 Bolton

BoltonI’ve got your bugaboo team right here! Nice comeback against a team that typically frustrates us, fellows. Well done. You can’t tell me that, were this Gunners side healthy, they wouldn’t be vying for the #1 spot in the Prem this year. They would have to be. Just look at their record against the top 3 when they were healthy. But… winning the Prem isn’t about just beating the top sides. I think Nick Geber said it best when he said something to this effect: “The side that has the smallest blip is the one that comes out on top.” Well, we’ve had some mighty large blips this year. Although, despite that… Arsenal are still, I believe, the best team to watch.
