Yeah well… 1 down 2 to go. I’m not going to bitch and complain about the ref. It’s been done to death for sure. But I do think that part of the reason Alex keeps getting these shit calls from officials (it seems like it’s been four or five so far this year, no?) is his instantaneous pleading looks when being dragged down. That’s at least twice this year that I’ve seen him get pulled down, but before he’s halfway to the mat he’s already turned to the official with the pleading puss on his face. If I were a ref that would piss me off. It gives the appearance that your going down wasn’t genuine and was part of the plan. Don’t get me wrong, the ref definitely got that call wrong against his nephew Kuyt, but… perhaps Hleb ought to just trust the ref to do the right thing rather go for the immediate appeal? There’s plenty of time to get pissed if you don’t get the call and appealing to the ref never gets you shit anyway. meh… just my two centavos.

Do we have two wins in us against the Scousers? I sure as hell hope so. We’re like to see them rest some of their key players on Saturday, and we really don’t have that luxury with ranks so thin. I’m trying very hard not to be pissed about the lack of depth added to the squad, I really am. So, good luck tomorrow all.
